Jackson is cruising along. We are knee deep in his very rigorous schedule but quickly getting used to it. At times he gets too tired to finish a session or falls asleep in the car on the way to physical or occupational therapy but we are trying hard to keep it up as much as possible. His schedule takes in account nap time so we work him hard in morning, take a nap and then work him hard in the afternoon/evening. It is alot for him but we are finally seeing some progress. It is not a miracle, he doesn't just wake up the next day and start talking in sentences but it is definate and noticeable progress. He seems much more with it, his speech has increased, he can follow some simple one step directions and he can once again do a 12 piece puzzle. Progress, progress, progress.
Physically he is still having a very hard time with walking. The serial casting did not help him much so next week we are trying Botox injections into his calf and thigh. He is also getting new leg braces since he has grown out of his old ones.
Coming up he has a hearing test and a growth hormone stimulation test. We are pretty confident that he will need growth hormone and will probably be starting that this summer. Our next MRI is scheduled for June 29. Thanks for checking in on us, we always love to hear from you!

Whoooo-hoooo! The progress is fantastic Jackson. You keep on working hard and keep on with the good fight. Whether it is the 12 piece puzzle or outgrowing your leg braces, both are great feats for such a young and brave boy!!
Sounds like a busy schedule, but make sure you make some time for your baby brother Wyatt.
Have a fun week Jobes!
