This has been our month of firsts. The boys saw a movie, went to Disneyland and adopted their first dog. Our newest member of the family is a one and half year old black lab. He was bred and trained for Guide Dogs for the Blind but lucky for us he didn't make the cut. We sent in our application months ago and told them all about Jack, but still thought it was a longshot. They called us on Thursday and said they have the perfect dog for us and we picked him up on Saturday. He is sweet and gentle with the boys but likes to play hard in the yard. We love him already. I like how sweet he is and Kelly just likes that he is trained so he is a perfect match! We are still working on a good name for him so feel free to write some suggestions. Wyatt has been calling him "Arf" and Jack just walks around the house saying "pet him, pet him".
Im cracking up, Arf and Pet him. I like the name Sarge!!!!! They are going to love having a doggie around. I say a dog play group will be next.

What an exciting month this has been! The newest Jobe sounds like a perfect addition, and we’re looking forward to meeting him! (These cousins have to live vicariously through other people’s dogs, and Ryan adores them!!)

Let Jackson know that Tommy & Nicky were visiting Mickey at Disneyland this past week too, he sends his helloooooos to Wyatt & Jack!!
As for the “longshot” in the Jobes getting thru that application process...Jackson is full of miracles and there is nothing that is out of reach. Congratulations on your new family member and make sure you “pet him” for us.

I LOVE your dog! I had a lab once and he was the best dog ever. Now we have a little maltese and it’s much different than a big dog. Hope you are having a great weekend.
