Jackson is still tired and shaky, and the doctors don’t know exactly why. The good news is that they have ruled out some very scary alternative reasons for the shaking. They do not belive the shaking is due to tumor progression because last week’s MRI results showed no change from the previous MRI. They also did a CT scan of his brain to look at whether or not the shunt in his brain was malfunctioning, and they are confident it is working and draining fluid like it is supposed to. Also, they don’t think the shaking is seizure related.
Therefore, we’re hoping that the shaking and tiredness are a result of his low red blood cell counts. In fact, last week’s round of chemotherapy was canceled because his blood cell counts have not sufficiently recovered from the last round of chemo. His body is simply taking longer and longer to recover from the chemo. Right now, we’re not sure whether the cells will recover on their own or whether they’ll ultimately decide to give him a blood transfusion.
Last Friday, Jackson and Wyatt went to the movies for the first time. Jackson loved it. He was smiling the entire time. He, of course, had never seen a TV so big in his life! Wyatt may have been smiling, but it was hard to tell with all the popcorn in his mouth. It was especially fun to see Jackson at the movies because he used to have strict immune system restrictions, and one of them was no movie theaters. I tried to take a picture of the boys at the movies during the film, but it was too dark, so that’s why there’s another picture of Jackson at his 4th birthday party.
This week Jackson has a speech therapy and physical therapy to keep him busy. Thank you for continuing to support us and for keeping up with Jack.

Congratulations to Jackson & Wyatt in joining the big boy club and going to your first movie. My sons loved it too on their first time!! I was so busy with the camcorder and the camera simultaneously, that I really don’t remember much of Madagascar 2!!
As for the tiredness, well you have been fighting quite the battle, so you take time and recover and when you are ready...Team Jackson is ready!!!
Take care Jobes, enjoy the smiles and giggles.

Sorry to hear you’re tired Jackson - time to come out for some more biscuits! But good news about going to the movies - there’s a whole other world out there for you.
Take care.
Hello all,
Checking in to see how everything is going and despite a few bumps along this journey, you are a remarkable boy and I am so glad you enjoyed your first movie. This is the first of many...I know
Bailey and I have a routine.....Popcorn and a drink every time. It’s the best. As far as a transfusion, remember I can give blood to anyone and I am CMV neg which is probably a requirement you need for transfusion. Just let me know anytime. Hope you feel stronger and better soon. Love, Missy
