Our birthday weekend is officially over and everybody had alot of fun. The boys swam, played ball and hung out with family and friends. It was a far cry from their last birthday which was spent in San Francisco starting chemo. Now that our double birthday extravaganza is over it is back to business, I guess. So, here is the Jackson update:
Jackson had his labs drawn last week and his blood counts are lower then they have been the previous few rounds. Not low enough for transfusions yet but it does explain why he has been so tired (and cranky!). Today we went to speech and Jackson actually enjoyed it. Tomorrow we are going to the eye doctor, which should be fun since Jackson won't wear his glasses without a fight and we gave up fighting it months ago! Finally, Wednesday, we go back to Sf for an appointment with the endocrinologist to review Jack's labs and find out whether he will need growth hormones.
Other then the tiredness, jack is doing well. His appettite is picking up and he gained his two pounds back. He is now exactly the same weight he was 13 months ago when this all started. Apparently, project fatten up is working on Wyatt too since he and Jack now weigh the same.

Yay!! A victory for project fatten up Jack!! Not only Jack buy Wyatt too, 2 for the price of 1. (As for the second babies, there must be something in the water because my little guy Nicky passed up his big brother Tommy when he was probably 18 months!! They are now 4 and 3 years old and Nicky still has Tommy by 2 pounds.)
Keep up the fighting Jack, maybe not the fight on the glasses but definitely everything else.
Glad to hear you boys had a blast at your birthday party!

Hi all,
Sounds like you had a great birthday celebration...anything is better than spending it in the hospital! But just as the journal says, it’s back to business and we hope that your appts go well and your appetite continues to grow and then we can do what’s really important....like getting together for some fun!!! Sending our love,
