Jack is tired

We are all still recovering from last week.  It was a long, tiring week in SF and it definetely took its toll.  Jack is much more tired then he has been and it shows.  He is crankier and clingier then normal which is a little stressful at times. This past week was his first full dose of chemo and I think it has affected him more then the past doses.  We have worked our way up to a full dose to see how is body tolerates it since he has already had so much treatment.  We will continue to do blood tests every other week to make sure his counts are holding steady.  We are also doing MRI's every two months because that is how long the chemo regimen is.  After this current round we have 3 more, which means 6 more months of treatment, provided his body continues to handle it.  He did throw up once this time immediately after getting the chemo and has not had a great appetite.  He also will no longer drink milk.... again.  He has lost two pounds so I am back on project fatten up..... hopefully his appetite will pick up again soon.

Although the chemo seems to be affecting him now, we are very happy that the tumor continues to remain stable.  Our very cautious doctor actually seemed pleased about the continuing stability of the tumor. We are hopeful, as always, that the enhancement is dead tumor cells and continues to appear unchanged.  Thanks Team Jackson for all your support!!

Stay strong Jackson!  You’ll have to come over and show Libby and Dillon how to eat a whole bunch of biscuits!

Okay, that means it is time for some good old fashion FATTY CAKES and of course they must be covered in lots of yummy & gooey maple syrup!!  I am positive Wyatt will join you for the FATTY CAKES FIESTA.  I am very relieved to hear you only threw up once, we must always look for the silver lining.

Keep up the fight Jackson.  You are such a strong little person and have definitely shown us what a warrior you are.  Keep up the eating, no more losing weight, and may we hear giggles very soon.
