Tough Week, Tougher Boy
Over the past year or so, Jackson's dental hygiene has taken a back seat to his cancer treatments, and many of the treatments and their side-effects have had really bad effects on his teeth.  Over time, he developed significant calcified plaque all over his teeth.  Last week he had to go under general anesthesia for over three hours this week so a dentist could clean his teeth and repair the cavities.  It was a tough day for him.  When it was over, he was battered and tired.  But he seems to be on the mend, and will be up early for speech therapy in the morning.  On Tuesday, he'll have another MRI.  This MRI will be of his spine only--to check for metastasized cancer in his spine.  We're optimistic that the scan will be clear, but please keep Jackson in your thoughts and prayers on Tuesday.  Thank you for supporting Team Jackson.

hi jack. the dentist, just to add something different-patience, little man.  there is no way anyone can know what you have gone thru during the last year with all of your treatments, but a tender place in my heart was really touched hearing about your hard day at the dentist-now that i have done!  and you are so right mom, it is exactly like being so beat up. i love ice cream for all the bruised and sore gums to make me feel better-have some jack!  be thinking of you on tues and everyday. this will be fine, and at least it won’t hurt.  love, ct

Jack, you are a true warrior.  You keep kickin’ butt.  I will never complain about the dentist again after hearing your story.  Alright, I will probably still whine but that’s because I am not as tough as you.  Thoughts and prayers are with you guys tomorrow.
