nice week

Thankfully, we don't have much to report this week.  Jackson's energy is still pretty good although his sleeping habits are a bit, how do we say this nicely, crazy!!  He has taken to waking up in the middle of the night and staying awake for several hours, just laying in bed and playing with something... his shirt, his diaper, my hair... whatever is in reach.  Sometimes he yells "Milk" in a screeching fashion but usually he just lays there awake.  He has bags under his eyes and is a little cranky but overall still playing and having alot of fun.  He does weekly blood draws and his counts have held strong.... he seems to have cruised through this new maintenance chemo we are doing, which is great.  So far, the worst part of it is the high doses of accutane he is on which has made his skin blotchy and dry.

We are slowly trying to re-socialize him and have had some playdates with his cousins and friends.  He is very shy, a little uncomfortable and very clingy around other kids but seems to be doing better each time, so we will keep trying.

We go to SF again next week for his IV antibiotics.  We also have an upcoming eye doctor apointment to check his vision and what we think is a lazy eye.   We have our next round of chemo and MRI in less then three weeks and we are already feeling sick about it.  I am not sure how you ever get used to this new life of every 3 month MRI's but I don't think they will ever get any easier. Thanks again for checking in on us.  We could not have gotten through all of this without the support of our family and friends!

I love seeing the photos of Jackson outside!!  Finally some fresh air and a new environment!!

As for the crazy hours...well, I guess you are experiencing college life a little early.  Sometimes you know you need rest but your body just won’t do it!! And as for your “playdate” as with everything a little practice and patience will make it all be just fine.  I am very happy to hear that you and Wyatt are getting your social groove on again!! Enjoy every minute of it too.

Hi Jobe family

I must start off my post saying JJ you are amazing. I have been so fortunate to see Jack a few times recently and I can report each time I see him he is adapting/improving so well to those around him. He sat with me alone at a table and smiled at me while having a snack and let me help him off his chair to go to his Mom.

I am certain the upcoming MRI’s never get easier but the Team Jackson members just keep on praying for good results. Hope you are enjoying your weekend smile See you soon!

It’s been great to see you guys walking around the neighborhood!  If they ever let you slow down, feel free to stop and talk.  And if you want other play dates, we have Avi all day Tuesday’s and Wednesdays, and Friday mornings.  I mostly have him Tuesdays (except for 12:30 - 1:30 when I have a client and Steve takes over).  Steve mostly has him on Wednesdays.  Just let us know!

Here’s to you, Jackson!

Way to go Jack! You are such an amazing little boy and I think about you everyday. Today at school me and Miss Jennifer and Miss Sara and Miss PAtricia were talking about how much we miss you and the Wy man. And I Miss talking to your mommy in the morning when she would drop you off. We all love you soooo much. Call us sometime. Love you Flap Jack!

We just thought it would be fun to say hi, ‘though now we get to enjoy catching up in person!  We absolutely love our cousin playdates, and I think Jackson is doing phenominal, all things considered.  Brendan just loves being around Jack, regardless of whether Jack needs his space.  And Wyatt is always full of entertainment and sweetness!!

We missed you guys this week but hope to see you next!  Have a great weekend!
