Big TV!
We’re all back in San Francisco now after our brief visit home this weekend.  The boys had a great day on Saturday playing in the backyard.  They also liked watching what Jack called the “Big TV.”  At the SF apartment, we have a TV that is probably smaller than whatever computer monitor you are reading this on – seriously, it’s small.  So when Jack got a look at our normal TV at home, he was duly impressed.  He didn’t even mind that we didn’t have a couch!

When we got back to San Francisco, Jackson and Wyatt received a Halloween themed care package from a wonderful family in Sacramento.  It was chocked full of great Halloween toys, books, candy, and other things to occupy him during his next admission to the hospital.  It also had a battery-powered magic wand with a star shape at the end of it.  If you flick it hard enough, it makes a magic-wand type sound.  Jackson loves it.  He’s actually sleeping with it right now (Sorry “Red Dog”….).  Earlier this afternoon, Wyatt made the mistake of attempting to play with Jack’s wand and quickly felt the wrath of Jack.

Jackson still is not eating more than a few French fries per day (and refusing other foods), but he seems to be doing really well on the TPN.  Tomorrow he has his 6 hour blood test in preparation for the next round of chemo.  We are still working with the doctors to fine-tune the next course of his treatment, it’s just taking a while because they must all communicate with one another and it seems to take quite a bit of time for them to do that.

I am so happy to hear your family was able to go home for a few days. You just made my day hearing Jack and Wy were able to play in your wonderful backyard on a beautiful sunny day! It must have been nice to be home. And better yet jack was treated to a BIG screen. Thank you very much for keeping us updated. As everyone says your family is always in our hearts and prayers. We will certainly be thinking of Jack tomorrow as he starts his next and I believe final (?) round of chemo.

(((((((((HUGS))))))))) to all of you!

Poor Wyatt...We hope he still has all of his fingers attached.  That’s great that the boys had a wonderful time at home.  Not much longer and they’ll be able to be home permanently (fingers crossed).  Hang in there Jack...the last round is coming up and no more chemo...yay!!!!  Eat some extra candy for us tough guy and tell mom and dad to get Wyatt one of those special wands....Take care guys and hang in there!!!

Wishing you strength and positive thoughts as you enter the last round of the brutal H/D chemo. The thing to remember is you have been given the opportunity to continue the fight. We will believe nothing but positive results await you.
