Jackson was recently discharged and is now at home resting. He is very tired as his blood counts continue to drop from the chemotherapy. The transplant seems to have gone well. He has ben sent home with the 14-hour TPN nutrition bags since he is sometimes vomiting and not eating again. We did the TPN last night at home and we took his blood samples to the lab this morning and they noticed some more nutritional deficiencies. The great thing is that instead of making him return to the hospital, they are going to send someone out to deliver newly configured TPN bags that I can give him tonight which will account for the deficiencies. This morning Jackson woke up with a bit of energy -- he pushed a stroller around the apartment -- which is good because he hasn't really walked much in the past week. After that brief burst of energy was used up, he spent most of the morning on the couch watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Jackson is sleeping in bed now. Maybe he'll try some food when he wakes up. If not, maybe in a day or two.
Jackson is only supposed to go out in public if he wears a mask and avoids crowds, etc. The only problem is that he won't wear a mask. So we plan on keeping him home a lot. Keri also got a plastic rain cover that zips around Jack's his stroller that the doctors ok'd as a substitute for the mask if we want to take him outside. We haven't tried it yet because he's too tired to want to go out today anyway and it's really cold today, but I think it will work out pretty well.

Rest up Milkman and then maybe you will want to eat. I bet your bed at home feels nice and warm. Stay in, watch movies and eat some texas toast.
It’s cold here in Sac today too.
