Jackson is Still Laying Low

Jackson continues to lie low.  His red blood counts and white blood counts are such that he still stays inside and rests most of the time.  He had to be admitted to the hospital for a day for a red blood cell transfusion.  His white cells are also still very low (still neutropenic), but appear, at least, to be moving up.  Truthfully, he has some other chemotherapy-induced discomforts as well.  But enough with the tough-stuff.  Jackson and Wyatt are absolutely loving their new presents their mother got them.  Keri ordered brand new 'Lightning McQueen' and 'Mater' sit-on plastic cars (internet shopping, of course).  The boys love to play with them.  And I've never seen them act like brothers this much before.  When Jackson is feeling up for it, they pick who gets which car (actually, usually Jackon picks, and Wyatt just accepts the decison), and they go around the apartment in their different ways (Jackson straddles it and rides it like you're supposed to, and Wyatt stands behind his and pushes it 'cause he loves walking now.).  Sometimes they even fight briefly about who has which car or who is blocking whose progress.  I love it when they fight.  It reminds me of beating up my older brothers when I was little!  Wyatt is lucky, though, that Jack doesn't fight him like he fights the nurses.  Hopefully, in a few days, his counts will rise, and so will his energy levels--so The Wy-Man will have to be ready for that!  On behalf of Jackson, thank you for continuing to support him.

I am happy to hear that Jack and Wywy are having fun on their new cars. They look adorable side by side in the photo. Of course I think of all of you daily. I am confident Jackson’s blood levels will rise soon. Get lots of rest Jack so you can speed through your house chasing your lil bro and show him whose the boss and champ too! We send our best and miss you tons!!!

WOWZY!!!  Those are some hot looking rides!  Once your blood levels rise you and the Wy-man are going to have to go cruise Pier 39 and see what the action is on the waterfront!!  You might even be able to stop by Ghiradelli’s and pick up chicks there???  Ooh...make sure Mommy isn’t reading this....she might not want you talking to the ladies just yet!

Hopefully all of those icky discomforts go away soon and your levels rise even quicker.  You are in our thoughts and prayers daily.  Keep on trucking boys!!!

Somebody better tell Wyatt that Jack is a Ninja Warrior so he quits messing with him!!  They both look great.  We miss you guys.  Young Jack, save your strength and get better.  Then you can beat up on your brother all the time!

You guys rock!  Those cars are way cool and there is nothing like a set of wheels to bring brothers together. Have a blast hanging out together and watch out, Jackson—Wyatt will start honing his passive aggressive battles strategies soon, if he hasn’t already!  He’ll keep you on your toes!  In the meantime, rest up and those blood counts will keep climbing.  We are rooting for you and thinking of you guys every single day!

Love the new wheels, boys.  Lookin’ sharp!!  Good luck with those blood counts, Jack-man.  Get some rest and then open up Lightning McQueen and see how fast he can go.  We miss you all very much.

Hi family,
I just wanted to throw out something to you....if Jackson needs a transfusion anytime, let me know and I will donate.  I am
O neg and CMV neg which is preferable for children. I’m not sure what type Jack is but since
O neg is the universal donor, he
should be able to use it.  Ask his
M.D. if you want and just holler
I’ll come down whenever!!!! And keep having fun on Lightning McQueen and Mater.....love you guys

I’m digging the pics fo the brothers hanging out on their new cars “chillin !!” , but your comment KJ about beating up your older brothers, Jeff and Greg..... Hmmmmm.. I’m suspicious about that grin .....

I hope Jack’s cell count picks up.  We think about you guys daily.  Hopefully we’ll get to see you next weekend..

Oh Jack, your poor Daddy--they say memory is the first thing to go with age!  Aunt Lisa asked Uncle Greg if Daddy ever beat up on him.  Uncle Greg laughed and laughed, and then asked “what do you think?!?” In the history of Jobe boys, it sounds like Kelly is known as being the...uhh...sensitive one.  smile

We hope you boys are still having a great time playing with those cool Lightning and Mater toys.  Brendan would have a blast if he was with you, and baby Ryan will be scooting around with you in no time!!  It sounds like you’re getting some wonderful family time in.  Get lots of rest, and we’ll check in with you again soon.  We love you!
